Umm, did anyone notice this?

This morning, I finally updated to the latest iTunes, 7.6, on my PC and Mac. I found that you can now manually manage your content on your iPhone. Is it the same as the manually manage content for the iPod? Well… almost. This same feature for the iPod lets you easily throw on music from different iTunes libraries from different computers easily. So long as the manually manage music option is checked. This is not true with the iPhone. I tried to go between both my PC and Mac iTunes libraries and I was greeted with a, “Erase and Sync” option. Booo Apple. But not a nasty Booo…just a regular one…lol. I’m still super glad I can manually manage the content on my iPhone now. And if you are wondering, “Do I need 1.1.3 to use this feature?” The answer rhymes with d’oh…lol… No! I did it with my 1.1.1 iPhone. Now, in upgrading to 7.6 on my PC, I noticed one feature that I loved that went bye bye… When I used to connect my iPhone to my PC, in “My Computer,” the iPhone would show up as an Apple Digital Camera. This was great because I could easily copy them from that “folder” to the “My Pictures\iPhone” folder I had created. Now my PC doesn’t recognize my iPhone as a device…I guess that’s what happened. I mean, only when iTunes is running can I see my iPhone. I’m sure I could just as easily copy those pics with SSH but I still would rather have the previous method. Alright dudes. I’m off to a meeting! Leave comments! AND!!!I have decided to kill off my site, falafeljack.com/blog. BUT!!! I am putting up a new one. It’s gonna be a little more… well, it’ll be like the first time you opened up a beer and copied a dvd movie…

I have been waiting to update to 7.6 because I didnt know if it will mess with my jailbroken phone. I’m not sure what manually managing the content means because i never had an ipod until I got my iPhone so I will play with it and see what happens.

Ok here is the deal. You can manually add or remove song off your iPhone JUST as long as you check that option AND your on the computer you have Synced to. Otherwise its still just syncable w/ one iTunes. Its pretty cool though…..

Yess I hated having to sync the whole playlist! :)

I am a fan of manually managing music, but sometimes it is easier to make a playlist. I have over 4GB of music on my phone and those are all in a playlist. Since I already have the playlist made, it is much easier to simply sync the playlist instead of taking 4 hours to find all the songs I want and manually adding them.

This would be useful when I don’t want to add the whole playlist but only a few songs to my iPhone. I am looking forward to seeing your new blog!
