Review: DiamondVest by Agent18 *Win This*

Here we have another case from Agent18. These guys make some really great cases, and if you haven’t seen it here’s the Ecoshield review I did. The DiamondVest is a really nice case. If you want to see some pictures check out the links below and read the rest of the review after the jump.

Let’s get on with it shall we.

Protection
This case is very decent when it comes to protecting the iPhone. Although it is made of soft silicone, it seams pretty rugged and covers all the necessary parts of the iPhone. The only bits that are open are the headphone jack, silent switch, sleep/wake button, Mic, speaker and dock connector. The home button and volume buttons are covered by the case and have special ridges on them so they are pressable through it. The earpiece and screen are fully open, but this is the reason in my opinion why this beats the Ecoshield. Included in the packaging is a screen protector. It covers the full screen except the home button and the earpiece. A great extra to have.

Accessibility
All the ports are easily accessible. As I’ve all ready said the headphone socket is open and really easy to get to. So is the silent button for those of us who have our phones on silent. The dock, mic and speaker are also very easy to get to. Just like the SwitchEasy Capsule that I reviewed and the Ecoshield, this case is also dockable. Included in the packaging is another dock adapter, which sadly for me again, is black. I tried my white capsule dock adapter and even a 5G 60gb iPod adapter, but I couldn’t get the iPhone to fit in the universal dock without using their dock adapter. Its not the fact that the case is bulky, its just the way it leans back on the bottom as it has a thicker back than front.

Quality
This case is a really good quality case. Compared to some other silicone cases i’ve used this is amazing. It didn’t attract much lint at all in my pocket. Also it doesn’t feel like its going to slip out of your hand, its got a nice firm grip to it. Also, as you may or may not be able to tell from the name, the silicone has a diamond pattern in it, like that of a drain cover. This also adds to the good grip you get with the case. The cut is also very good. Silent switch, headphone jack, Sleep/wake, and the bottom are precisely cut. The only problem I found was that the case slightly overlapped the screen a tiny bit at the bottom. Not a massive overlap, but it just covered up the bottom third of the letters in the bottom row. Not a big thing, but I have to be honest.

Extras
As I’ve said earlier in the review, the dock adapter should be white. Also I absolutely love that they included the screen protector. I think that any case that does not cover the screen, such as the Ecoshield, should come with a screen protector. A case is meant to protect your phone, and this case does an excellent job.

Pros: Great quality silicone. Good protection for the whole iPhone and Good value

Overall: A very good case that’s great value for money.
