Review: GizMac Titan Clear

Well I’ve been using the Titan Clear for few weeks now – so here comes the review!

First off, I think the idea of being able to have a stand for your iPhone to watch or read something is great. The case comes with the ability to make your iPhone stand vertically and horizontally and I think GizMac did a great job of creatively inventing such a case. To make their innovative idea more effect, they put two rubber pieces on two of the sides of the case as to support the stability when used as a stand – great idea. The plastic case itself doesn’t seem to be the most durable case – I had a hard time taking off the case. The case is held together by 3 screw like holes on the sides so putting the case on is fairly easy but, taking off you might want to be gentle as to not break the case near the volume buttons.

The power button is a bit difficult to reach and you really need to use your finger nails. For me personally, the case was a bit bulky and did add some weight. Also, the revolving holster makes the phone even bigger on your belt. However, I will say that the holster feels secure and taking the phone off is a breeze.

One of the things that I didn’t like was the trade-off of having the rubber pieces on the side. At times I like to just put the phone in my pocket but as a result of the rubber pieces it would get stuck in my pants slightly, and it reminds me of the same feeling when I used a rubber silicon case. Although it’s not big enough to collect pocket lint it can still make it difficult to effortlessly pull it out of your pocket.

Rating – 6.5 out of 10
Price – $24.99 for case only. $34.99 w/ Holster
Pros – You get to literally sit back and enjoy an episode of The Office, anywhere, anytime, anyplace on anything.

Cons – A bit bulky, the rubber pieces has trade-offs, case seems a bit flimsy near the volume buttons.
