This case – is definitely for the professional who still wants to use the iPhone in the business world. It’s a simple pouch like case, made of synthetic leather with a magnetic enclosures to make sure the phone stays in. The inside is made of soft velvet-like material to avoid any scratches on your phone.
The total package comes with the leather Vertical case, and 2 optional holsters. You can use the case without the holsters but, I prefer to keep the case on my belt. Read the rest of the review after the jump.
The first holster is a limited, vertical only hinge that clips onto your belt. It’s fairly sturdy and doesn’t seem like it will break off or fall out. The second holster gives you the freedom to rotate the case 180 degrees and take the case off the clip. It doesn’t seem as sturdy as the limited clip but I think that’s the tradeoff in getting the freedom to be able to rotate your case around.
One of the things I really enjoyed using this case was, was the protection it provided. Given, that it’s in the case – the material is sturdy and although there are openings near the closings of the case, you aren’t really going to get anything in there while it’s clipped onto your belt. And even if it’s not on your belt, unless you directly pour water into the small openings, it will provide optimal coverage.
Few things I didn’t like about the case:
I left the case in my car one winter night, and I’m not completely sure but my guess is the cold slightly froze the case. As a result, the groove inside the case where it opens and closes were small cracks.
Another issue I’ve noticed was the lack of earphone access. Whenever I wanted to listen to music during my commute, I left the phone in my pocket. Maybe if there was a hole on top of the case – it would be a little better.
Other then that, I really didn’t have a problem with this case.
Overall rating – 9 out of 10.
Pros – Slick, professional, sturdy, options on usage. $10.00 on Amazon! How can you beat that price..
Cons – material may not be ‘sturdy’ enough to withstand the extreme winter temperatures at night. Lack of headphone access.
