Theres a new app called vWallpaper that allows you to play .mov video files as your wallpaper. Its a pretty cool idea, but it gets old really quick. There’s only a hand full of video clips that I would enjoy having as a wallpaper but I’m sure I’d go back to using the plain stationary kind. I’m sure using a video clip as a wallpaper probably also slows down your iPhone’s processor as well. If you want to give it a try add the following source to Installer on your jailbroken iPhone: http://i.danstaface.net. After you add the source push refresh and look for vWallpaper in the listings. Here’s a video of what it looks like on your iPhone. I’ll try to record a better quality video with my iPhone. You can add more Quicktime movies by installing OpenSSH via installer and using an FTP program to drop files onto your iPhone in the following directory /Library/Skrew/Videos. I’m pretty sure most people will shy away from adding videos until an easier way is created.

I tried this out the other day. It was ok. A cool idea, but something I feel isn’t really necessary. I am curious to see what it would do to battery life if you kept it on during a day with a lot of phone usage.
Very nice !
