PhotobucketOk, I have a real treat for those of you who like the bizarre and over the top accessories that make your gadgets stand out from all of the rest. A company called Miniot uses wood to create cases for the iPod classic, the iPod Touch, and of course, the first gen iPhone. Recently, they announced that they will support the iPhone 3g starting in July. These special cases are conveniently entitled iWoods (last time I’m saying that for our immature crowd).

These unique cases protect the iPhone’s natural casing while leaving room for the volume and home buttons, as well as the inputs for your earphones, sync cable, and dock. Miniot allows you to choose from five variations of wood: Oak, Padouk, Cherry, Mahogany, and Walnut. Each case is carved from a single piece of wood and they also have an option for you to have a personal message, logo, or your name engraved on the back.

Be the first to have one of these classy cases. You can sign up on their site to be notified of when this case is released by sending an email to iwood@miniot.com. They will set you back about $115-$120.
