The widely anticipated Pwnage Tool for the iPhone 2.0 software release has landed and I must say, works like a charm! I am currently using an unlocked iPhone with 2.0 and a x05 baseband. Yeah, totally awesome. The Appstore is amazing. So, how hard was using the Pwnage Tool? It was almost as easy as running ZiPhone or iLiberty+. I followed the instructions on iClarified and it worked like a charm the first time (although I did have a blonde moment trying to put my iPhone in DFU mode).
So, how does the iPhone 2.0 release work on a 1st gen iPhone on T-Mobile? Well… Read the rest of this entry »
I received my Vibe Duos a while back now, and I can say that they are still the best, iPhone specific earphones I have ever used. To see my review just click here. Well, I ran into my first problem with them the other day. I think that some wiring has come loose inside the headphone jack, and for the left earpiece to work, I have to squeeze the top of the jack. Obviously this shouldn’t happen. So I sent V-Moda an email, and I found out that they are in the process of replacing the headphone jacks. The statement from V-Moda is after the jump…

So are you super desperate to find an iPhone 3G? Are you willing to travel miles out of your way to get your hands on one? Well if you’re ready to waste some serious gas then you might want to check out this Availability Map created by Adam DuVander. It basically uses the information from Apple’s availability page on their web site and allows you to input your exact location and then shows you the distance between you and your destiny. Click here and check it out for yourself. Keep in mind, just like the Apples availability page, it updates every night at 9 pm.
Don’t have an iPhone 3G yet because you are scared of that $399 pricetag? I would be too. Why pay double the price of what everyone else is paying? Now you don’t have to. I have found a simple loophole that will allow you to instantly become eligible for the $199 or $299 subsidized price even if you are not upgrade eligible and are not an owner of a first gen iPhone. The best part is that this doesn’t take much time at all as long as you know what you are doing, and you can take care of this on the way to the Apple or AT&T store. I’m normally not a huge fan of silicone cases because I don’t like to keep my phone in my pocket but I’m getting used to this one. This was pretty much my only choice of cases on launch day and as clumsy as I am, I had to snatch up something to protect my new gem.
PROS:
The Belkin Silicon Sleeve has definitely grown on me in the past few days. There is a unique laser design on the back of the case that sets it apart from other plain silicone cases. The case leaves space for you to get to all of the ports, buttons, and camera. It also leaves a hole at the bottom so you can plug up your sync cable or even place the phone in the dock. The case’s material prevents the phone from slipping out of your hand or sliding off of hard surfaces. It is very easy to slip this accessory on/off. The holes and slots line up with their respective port or button every time without having to adjust the case. A screen protector is also included with the case that works flawlessly. You can barely even tell that it is on. You can read the Pros and Cons after the jump…
