Hey guys got a quick review for you today on the app Versus Chess. This is an online chess game where u can play your friends from your iPhone. Let me just start out by saying that this game is really fun. If you’re a big fan of chess then it’s great because you can play against your friends on the go. The interface is really easy to use and you’re able to just pick up and play. One negative of this app is that your always playing other people, so if your not that good, then you might have a hard time winning any matches. This game is $8.99 on the App Store, which I think is a little too much, but if you’re really into chess then it’s worth the money.
Apple has begun releasing the beta 2.2 software update to devs for testing. So far there’s no word on any major changes or updates that come with 2.2, but if you really think about it, if this was just a regular “bug fix” update, wouldn’t it just be 2.1.1? Hopefully Apple has some suprises for us like Push Notifications with third party apps, or maybe even Copy & Paste.
Even though the beta has just been released, the Dev Team has already begun doing their researach and have discovered that version 2.2 is still vulnerable to pwnage and quickpwn on everything except the iPod Touch 2G.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the Dev Team could figure out a way for us not to have to re-Jailbreak everytime an update came out. I don’t know about you, but it takes me almost an hour to Jailbreak and add all the third party apps and settings to my phone after an update.
Well, let me just say that this is one of my favorite iPhone products ever. It is one of the best quality set of earbuds I have ever used. Some people out there, like myself, can’t stand stock apple earbuds. In fact, they actually bruise the insides of my ears after about 1 hour of use. When V-Moda first announced these I was so excited. REAL earbuds with iPhone Button/Mic. I won’t go too much into the clarity of these things. For a full in depth review of the sound quality check out my original review here. Read on to find out what’s happened with the new Duo’s.

A while back I wrote a post on SplashData and their new products they were releasing for the iPhone. Well after a month of using SplashMoney ($9.99 AppStore), I decided to give you a little bit more information on the app. First off the app is extremely easy to set up. It probably took me about 5 minutes or so to get up and running. Obviously If you wanted to get a little more detailed in the set up of the app you can. The account page gives you many options. Edit allows you to add accounts, change account names, etc. One really cool feature is the ability to sync your data with your specific financial institution. That takes out all the guess work into manually setting up your current balance for each and every account you may have. I did have to perform this twice due to the app crashing on me.

Tribal 2 is a target shooter game. The point of the game is to tap the targets on the screen. Tapping the target signs, the faces, and the stars will get you points but if you tap on a bomb, you will lose one of your three lives. You have 50 seconds to get a certain amount of points or you will also lose a life. The real fun comes when playing on arcade, your fingers will have to work diligently. There is a high score table to give you a reason for coming back for more. The most notable thing about this game are the graphics. The visual effects and animations are some of the better ones for iPhone applications.

Apple has announced a safety alert for the new iPhone power adapter that came with your iPhone 3G. This is the statement that Apple has made in regards to the adapter:
“Apple has determined that under certain conditions the new ultracompact Apple USB power adapter’s metal prongs can break off and remain in a power outlet, creating a risk of electric shock. We have received reports of detached blades involving a very small percentage of the adapters sold, but no injuries have been reported,” said Apple.
Apple advises users who are using the ultracompact adapter that came with their iPhone 3G to stop using them immediately until they receive a new, redesigned adapter. Users should recharge their iPhone 3G’s battery with the USB cable that came with their iPhone, connected to a computer, or by using a standard-sized Apple USB Power Adapter (with fold-up prongs), or with a third-party adapter designed to work with the iPhone.
Replacement adapters will be available beginning Friday, October 10, 2008, according to Apple. You can order a replacement adapter online, or exchange the adapter at an Apple Retail Store. Adapters affixed with a green dot at the bottom have been redesigned.

Recently, Demiforce has announced that Trism had generated $250,000 in income from their popular iPhone game since its launch on July 11th. Trism would have had to sell over 71,000 copies to generate that level of income as it is priced at $4.99, or an average of almost 1200 copies a day. Read on for the full review.
