You can purchase this product directly from Richard Solo starting at $69.99.
personally i think that would be better if it used a wire to connect the battery to the iphone,
the fact that it doubles the length of the phone is pretty cumbersome in my opinion.
if they used a wire maybe they could make a brace that clamp to the sides of the iphone so you can kinda attach it to the back of the phone.
i donno, maybe you can suggest it to the company.
i personally dont have a use for that product, but i just thought id comment on how i really dont like the way that it makes the iphone huge, i wouldnt be able to use that on the move at all, wouldnt fit in my pocket or anywhere in my car becides maybe thown in the back seat or glove box
I think this is the coolest device and well worth the price. It is for emergencies we have all had when we realized our phone was losing power and no charger available. Ingenious.
@Charlie
What about those emergencies where you realize your phone is losing power, and if you were spacey enough to forget the charger on whatever trip / event you went to, you probably would also forget this bulky appendage.
meh
I love this product,but the size is still the factor. What if you guys could make it half the size, or the size of the iPod Shuffle with double or even tripple the power. I know I wouldn’t need to think twice, like I did with this product.
I want to buy this charger and just watched the great video. One thing that was not addressed was how long it takes to charge the phone so you can disconnect this charger. How many minutes will it take to charge a 3g phone that is already in the red zone of battery depletion?
I never timed it, but it felt like 15-20 minutes
Is it compatible with 2nd Generation iTouch and 4th Generation Nano?
Radio Shack have a battery with wire connections that work with iPhone and iPhone 3G but not with 2nd gen iTouch or 3rd or 4th gen Nano. Its by Lenmar and called the Powerport. Says it recharges device up to 5 times on a single charge. Includes adaptors for iPod, PSP, Mini USB. It can be charged from any USB port. Costs at this time (2/14/09) $ 24.99.
Comes with retractable USB charging cable and 4 adaptors (Incl iPod) and rated at 2100 mAh. It works with Ipod Classic 160GB (Not sure about 120GB Classic).
Radio Shack Battery also works with 1st gen. iTouch
Hey Derek,
I bought a isound (1100 mah) i think, and sold it. Bought the one at Radio Shack, Unbelivable!!!. It’s like 4 (four) charges in one!! Don’t have the time to give it the proper props!!
