Ok guys, we are going in a little different direction with this app. This app is not for our typical readers but for our typical readers’ children. Here is one App that has been designed for toddlers and preschoolers in mind and is based on education instead of entertainment although it is very entertaining proven by the fact that my kids would not put it down. Cortis Clark of Sol Robots has really impressed my kids and I. Now I will try to verbalize the game but frankly the demonstration video my daughter and I created does the app so much more justice than me rambling about its capabilities. This commentary will be short and sweet but make sure you check out my video review. The app shows the preschooler 3 photos and asks them to touch the appropriate photo. For example, it will show a plane, banana, and a hand and proceed to instruct the child to touch the airplane. If the child answers correctly cheers ensue and if they answer incorrectly moans ensue and they are given another chance to answer. The brilliant part about this app is that parents can customize photos and insert pictures of mommy, daddy, brothers, sisters, grandparents, pets and some custom tags. If that wasn’t enough the parent can also record their own voice for instructing the child to touch the custom photos. In essence my voice can instruct my toddler to “Touch Mommy’s picture” or “Touch your sister Kaitlyn’s picture” or “Touch Grandma’s picture”. The duration of the game is also customizable: you can chose to have your child answer 5, 10, 15, or 20 questions and if you are going on a long road trip chose the infinity option and they will be playing for the entire trip to grandma’s house. This is a quality app designed to educate our children and stimulate their brains in an educational manner and move them along in the process of education. “Adam’s Game” is .99 cents in the app store, a small price to pay for a little push in the educational process. Frankly if the app cost more I would still buy it. Check out “Adam’s game” in the App Store and Sol Robots at www.solrobots.com.
