Wal-Mart Update & Loss of Exclusiveness in France

Posted in News, Rumor by Danny Smallman. Published December 18th, 2008

Here’s another leaked memo from the folks over at Engadget. This helps confirm the rumors that have been flying around. If all stays well, you’ll be able to buy the groceries, a new power drill and a new iPhone all under the same roof. You’ll even have a huge savings of $2 on your new iPhone too.  These should be on sale 28 December.

In other news, Apple must sell the iPhone to all carriers in France based on a court ruling under French law. If you didn’t know already, all iPhones sold in France must be unlocked by the carrier if the customer wants it to be unlocked. Check out the details in this article. Bouygues Telecom, a rival network, “welcomed” the ruling and plans to sell the iPhone shortly.
