Pros: Excellent sound, good assortment of tips, nice carrying case, snug fit
Cons: Expensive, requires a $50 additional music phone adapter cable to make phone calls and control your music
Verdict: These earphones sound phenomenal, you can hear every nuance of sound in movies and music. But the price tag will definitely scare off the average consumer, which is why they are high-end professional earphones.

Pros: Helps find nice restrooms close by so I don’t have to hear how dirty one restroom was.
Cons: Wish it gave you the option to browse through more.
Verdict: This App does what it says it will. Find bathrooms around you. I also love the ability to add to the app and make it better. The only caveat is the browsing. I wish you could look at more.

Pros: Puts your YouTube subscriptions at the tip of your fingers, inexpensive at 99 cents, simple interface.
Cons: Only organizes videos by recent and older, can’t see all videos from a specific author, clumsily organized.
Verdict: This App does what it’s supposed to do; gives you access to your YouTube subscriptions on your iPhone. The problem I see here is that there is no way to categorize by author. If I wanted to see all my videos there is no way to do that you can only see recent videos and older videos. How the App decides what is new and older is confusing since I was looking at a video posted on Monday, Tuesday afternoon and it was categorized as “older”.

Unless you’ve been under a rock (or had not seen the preview for 3.0 on the site) you must have known about the iPhone 3.0 software preview that is going on right now. I can tell you that we will be doing a more complete review of the up coming changes but we had to tell you what we Apple is rolling out of Cupertino. Cut, copy and paste, MMS, and full landscaped keyboard access will be coming to your iDevice shortly.
Other new features include Note sync with the Mac (or PC) through iTunes, the ability to shake to shuffle your music (a feature previously seen on the newest iPod nano), Wi-Fi automatic login, stereo Bluetooth support (for devices that support the A2DP profile), YouTube account log-in, enhanced support with better keyboards for different languages, auto-fill, anti-phishing, and extended parental controls.
The new release will be a free update for all iPhone 3G users, and will also work on the original iPhone — though Apple cautions that certain features, such as MMS and stereo Bluetooth support, will not work on the original model. A software update for the iPod touch will cost $10, much as the 2.0 release did.
Follow the break for a few shots to wet your appetite.
For those of you like Me (and Ryan) who are HUGE boxee lovers, this app will be the perfect addition to your iPhone or iPod Touch. The App, available via iTunes, allows users to control every aspect of the Boxee app right from their iPhones or iPod Touch’s.
The app is very smooth, has no lag and runs better than I expected. There are two control modes. The first is like you would expect on a normal remote app, with buttons, and a gestures mode that allows you to drag the logo around the screen to navigate. This app has been available for a while via Cydia for jailbroken iPhones, but it has just been released into the App Store by Boxee. I really recommend checking this app out if you are a Boxee user.

APPLE versus PODIUM: This One Will Be Interesting
As you may remember last week I posted my review of the Podium by Pivital for the iPhone and iPod touch, a fantastic stand that proudly displays your iPhone on your desk. The Podium comes in two different colors: Platinum and Pearl White. It seems Apple has taken ownership of the word “Podium” saying that the portion of the word: “POD” is in direct reference to the iPod. Below is the press release that the President of Pivital, Scott Baumann emailed me last night:

Pros: very clean and sleek looking. Matches your MacBook or iMac perfectly. It’s supposed to increase the battery life of your mighty mouse.
Cons: makes noise when you move the mouse around. A little pricey but it is aluminum.
Verdict: Overall very cool mouse pad. I would definetly recommend it to anyone. Makes your desk space look very neat.
