DirecTV FREE DVR Programming App

Well if you know anything about me I am a big New York sports fan living on the West coast and therefore a big DirecTV fan. I have been a DirecTV customer since 1996, and yes I mean continually. Many providers have tried to get my business through free promotions, free HD, free this and free that but none of them have what I crave most: the NFL Sunday Ticket.

Now I probably shouldn’t write this for DirecTV to see but frankly they could charge me a lot more and I would gladly pay it as long as I get to watch my Yankees, Jets and UCONN Basketball. I love DirecTV and most everything about them: they have great customer service, the best HD picture quality, and easy to use equipment. The one thing that was a bit lacking was the user interface for scheduling shows to record from your cell phone. Honestly is was sub par for DirecTV Standards, graphically poor and hard to use. So bad I would not even attempt to use it, but no longer. DirecTV has released their App for remote DVR scheduling in the App store and it’s FREE. This App ties in with your DirecTV account and you can program one or all your DVR’s to program a single show or the entire series. Compared to the other mobile version this one has easy to read menus and I was able to program a show to record on all 4 of my DVR’s in under 3 minutes. I will actually use this DVR scheduler and it will make my fondness for DirecTV grow.
