Now we don’t know if this is an isolated incident but I felt the need to bring this to the forefront. It seems as if Apple has been slacking when it comes to sending out payments to developers for their applications. The developers in two separate occasions (1,2) have not been paid in months. The longest being since September 2008. One of the DEVs has been sending emails to Apple about the payments and has gotten no where. Here is an email he received from an iTunes Financial team member:
[Hello
Please stop emailing us. Your 22 emails in the past two days is bordering harassment. We receive a thousand emails a day, and will respond as soon as we can.
Kind regards,
[Dean Migchelbrink | iTunes Finance | Apple Inc ]
Now 22 emails in two days is quite a lot but, I guess he/she felt like they had no other option in order to get their money. Well only time will tell what happens to these cases or if there are any more like this out there. Does it change your view of Apple knowing this?
wow not paying the devs… hmmm… Apple should just pay them on time… like they are supposed to
i’m pretty shock Apple would do this to the dev. after all they helping Apple making money. Hope they got their payment soon.
wow apple i thought was good about that but i guess not any more lol
but hey at least they getting paid unlike others for people that CHOOSE to give them for free
…… but its good for us that we dont have to pay
It does not change my view. I is most likely a few people in one department noot doing their job properly can not hold that against Apple. I can just hope they resolve the issue and correct the staffing problem.
Wow that e-mail was a little rude, apple makes like around a billion dollars a year, and they cannot pay their devs. That’s shocking
I can’t believe this stuff happens from such a big company, they should get their act together
i have been with you from the begining
With how much money apple is throwing around trying to buy up business you’d think they’d be able to afford to pay their developers in a timely manner
