Review: CableJive iStubz

Posted in Misc, Reviews by Danny Smallman. Published June 1st, 2009

So, you’ve got your iPhone (or iPod) and either you really hate the long cable that comes with it, as you only plug it into your notebook to sync, or you really don’t like to carry the cable around with you in case you need to charge it up. Sure, you could attempt to buy a cable, cut it up and shorten it yourself ( I Do Not Recommend, Nor Endorse this Idea), But that could get really messy. Read on After the break for what i feel is a review on one of the most practical things you will ever buy. Keep reading for the rest of the review…

So, In the Mist of all my exams I have at the minute, I received this lovely product to show you today. The awesomely designed CableJive iStubz is a really cool idea if you ask me. Available in a choice of Black or White, and lengths of 7CM and 22CM, these cables are ideal for people who need to Sync or Charge on the go.

Usually, I find myself close to a computer with a low iPhone battery. This can get REALLY annoying, as I know I could charge it, but don’t really want to be carrying my lengthy cable around. Now I can simply toss one of these in my pocket (I even keep the smaller one in my wallet) so that I am never caught short without any battery. Also, there are many advantages to these for you notebook users. While you still may charge your iPhone from your AC outlet with the longer cable, now you can simply have the iPhone close to your notebook, without having to trail the wire from it.

The quality of the cables are also really good, and if it weren’t for their length, you probably wouldn’t notice any difference between the Apple Cables and the CableJive Cables. These really are a great item, and I am proudly awarding them the BMAi Editors’ Choice Award. They not only exceed in quality, but also make charging and syncing your iPhone/iPod way more practical.

The iStubz are available here. the prices are below.
7CM – $7.95
22CM – $8.95
Bundle (one of each Size) – $14.95

This is an interesting product to say the least. It would really help with cable management, but it seems like it would have limited uses. Just my $.02 though.
