8GB iPhone 3GS Leaked on Rogers Wireless Website?

Rogers Wireless is the licensed cellular provider of iPhone in Canada.  Early last week, on one of their webpages, it was stated that the iPhone 3GS would add a third model to the line, an 8GB model.  The comparison chart (below), was the only hint to the 8GB model, meaning it was not available for purchase, and would not appear on listings.

Early this morning, Rogers removed the 8GB iPhone 3GS from the table, and Gizmodo received a report from a spokesperson at Rogers that it was “posted in error.”  Keep in mind, having a new addition of an 8GB 3GS would certainly be something Apple would want to post themselves, and would most likely not announce until the iPod keynotes in September.  Why would Rogers be updating their site 2 months in advance? I personally believe that this was in fact an error on Rogers’ part, and that we will not see an 8GB iPhone 3GS, unless it’s below a $99 price point with a 2 year contract.  Even then, it may not be released until early next year.
