Now Get An iPhone 3G for $49!!! Really.

Have you ever wanted an iPhone 3G but just couldn’t bring yourself to shell out the cash?  Well very quietly on Friday, while everyone was going go0goo gaga over the release of MMS, AT&T dropped the price of a refurbished iPhone 3G 8GB to $49 and the 16GB to $99.  Now at $49 the iPhone 3G 8GB model is less than most other smart phone offerings from not only AT&T but pretty much any other carrier.  When I read this I was immediately brought back just a few short years ago and remembered when the original iPhone cost just about $500.  Then I heard this interview in my head, it was some reporter asking Steve Baller of Microsoft about the iPhone, I then heard Balmer’s voice and immediately got nauseous.  I then heard him laugh and exclaim “$500 for a phone? fully…HAAHAH..” well you guys know the rest.  So now a refurbished iPhone 3G is $49 and can hardly be criticized for being “too expensive”, so if you have always wanted an iPhone but thought you couldn’t afford one now is the time to take the plunge and join the party.
