Video Review: ankit Headphones

Posted in Earphones, Reviews, Video by Tom Moccia. Published March 31st, 2010

Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros: Quality construction, unique design, great bass, themed slider, four different designs, angled earbuds.
Cons: The designs and packaging are a bit edgy for some, not a great fit for people with smaller ears.
Overall: The ankit headphones have burst onto the scene and give users an unique way to show their individuality. With four designs to choose from and each one expressing something totally different yet delivering solids highs and deep bass with the g bass technology discerning listeners won’t be disappointed.  I only wish that the earbuds fit children a little better as my 7 year old loved the Butterfly design.

You can purchase the ankit headphones for $49.99 from their site by clicking here or by visiting ankit on Amazon by clicking here.

App Review: DisCover

Posted in Apps, Apps, Reviews, Video by Pashyn. Published March 30th, 2010

Rating: 7 out of 10
Pros: The app is very simple to use, it has a very user friendly interface, and there is no limit to how many albums you have to your spring board. Once albums are added as icons you’ll always have the convenience of your favorite songs being just one tap away. Another great feature is that you can exit the app and the music will continue to play!
Cons: If I could request anything from this application, I would love to see it integrate a way to add playlists as well as the albums.
Overall: I really enjoyed the simplicity and convenience of what this application has to offer.

You can check out DisCover in iTunes for $1.99.  Click here to be brought to the app store page.

Video Review: Soda Stream Pure

Posted in Misc, News, Reviews, Video by Mark Kennedy. Published March 30th, 2010

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Easy to use, lots of flavors and they can be picked up at a variety of local stores such as Sears, BJs wholesale club, & Sams club. Simple set up and quick to make soda.
Cons: Carbonators can only be refilled through soda stream by mailing them in for refill.
Overall: This is a great system for those avid soda drinkers like myself. I would definitely recommend picking this up for those who like their soda and hate going to the store and picking up and carrying home a ton of soda bottles and cans home. This systems only draw back is having to mail the carbonators back to be refilled.

Soda Stream Pure System can be purchased at the sodastreamusa.com from $ 149-199

This is supposed footage of an iPhone 4G LCD and Digitizer one piece. Take this video with a grain of salt since nothing can be 100% confirmed at this time. But it’s worth gawking at. Anyone else notice the camera hole in the top left?

Pros: Outstanding quality in terms of sound, fit and finish, very nice bass, comfortable in the ear and the buds stay in place, solid construction, case included.

Review: Sony ECM-HGZ1 Gun Zoom Mic

Posted in Misc, Video, camcorder by Omar C. Published March 29th, 2010

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Small light weight, comes with fabric pouch, two settings: Zoom & Gun mode
Cons: It’s awkward to hold the camcorder when the mic is attached. Uses up the camera’s battery up faster
Overall: I really liked this microphone for Sony camcorders. It was very convenient to have when filming interviews at CES and not having to carry extra batteries to power it was very nice. I would definitely recommend owners of Sony camcorders with an active interface shoe to try out this mic, it will improve the over-all quality of your videos.

You can purchase this mic from 42nd Street Photo for $70.
