Screen Protection products Banned from Apple Stores?

Posted in News by Emil Aquino. Published March 18th, 2010

Picture 1There have been a number of published reports indicating that Apple will be banning the sale of all screen protection products from their retail stores. This would include all cases and accessories that incorporate screen protection solutions with their products. There is currently no official statement from Apple about the specific reasoning behind their decision. Speculation is that Apple wants to eliminate the perception of the need of screen protection solutions for their devices. According to a report by Macworld, this ruling could go beyond screen protectors and eventually include accessories designed to protect the palm rest areas on Apple’s Macbooks as well.

I cant believe they are banning screen protection, this makes no sense, something that actually protects the screen. Maybe they thought they were going to make more money on fixing damaged screens when the huge glass screen was introduced in 2007. The next thing they will ban will be cases……I think Apple wants us to damage our iPhones…..then their revenue goes up….unbelievable

Geeks>You says...

That’s the DUMBEST thing I’ve ever heard. Hopefully it won’t happen….
