Hi there, question for you; i have been a loyal fan to Otterbox; i saw someone post something about this case and i am wondering which one I should go with.

If you had the choice which one is more durable and will protect you phone??

Is otterbox a better product or is this company?

Can you assist and mybe do a video to compare?

I have not seen or tested the Ballistic case so I cannot give an answer to your question. We may have a review soon.

I bought and use this case for my iphone4. (I have not owned the Otterbox.) This is a good case and actually functions in two ways. For total/best protection, you use both the inner plastic/rubber case and the outer rubber case. If you want to carry the phone in your pocket, you just slip off the outer rubber case and it slips right in and out without any problem (don’t have to fight with the rubber “grabbing” the inside of your pocket.) The belt clip seems kind of flimsy but it’s actually more robust that it looks or feels and it holds the phone in very well. I carry it horizontally and have never had a problem with the phone falling out. In my opinion the only bad thing about this case is the built it screen cover. First, you tend to get air bubbling between the cover and the phone screen. This doesn’t hurt anything, when using the phone you don’t even see this (most of the time) and the touchscreen still works perfectly. But it is annoying. And, the plastic for the built in cover is soft and your finger scratches it. I finally took a sharp pocket knife and removed and threw away the screen cover (I use a regular stick on disposable protector.) Frankly, the whole built in screen cover thing is a bit of a bummer given the $50 price of the case. Some people won’t mind it because even with that flaw (my opinion) I think this is probably one of THE BEST protective covers you can get for the iP4. I used a Speck Toughskin on my iP3 and loved it. Removing the screen protector on the Ballistic case leaves you with much the same thing as the Speck was…except for the added ability to remove the outer rubber case but still have total protection. I’ve read that the Otterbox has this same “bubbling” issue with its screen protector, for what that’s worth. If you can get past the screen protector issue, I’d highly recommend the Ballistic case for top of the line iP4 protection.
