Pros: Slim, neutral style with a variety of colors
Cons: Slight impact on tactility of buttons
Overall: There is a certain draw to slim case for the iPhone. While snap-on plastic cases add the least bulk to your phone, they barely protect your phone from everyday in-and-out of pocket wear. Conversely, cases like the Speck Candyshell or the OtterBox Commuter provide solid protection, but all the while sacrificing the sleek, slim profile of the latest edition of our favorite smartphone. That’s where Belkin’s TPU gem- the Grip Candy Sheer- comes in. I have always loved TPU cases for their flexibility, impact resistance and bare bones construction and the Grip Candy Sheer is no exception. A wide range of colors and a soft to the touch matte finish decorates 360° protection with ample cutouts for the headphone jack and lightning connector. The slot for the vibrate switch has a wide enough angle that access is hardly an issue. My only gripe with the case is that, being a stiff construction, you loose some of the tactile ‘click’ of your volume and lock buttons- but this is very minor. Overall, the Grip Candy Sheer is the best TPU case I’ve used, and certainly the best case I’ve had on my iPhone 5 so far.
