Video Review: JayBird Endorphin Rush earphones

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Comes with hard pouch. 60-day guarantee. Lots of ear tips to choose from.
Cons: May be a bit pricey for some, especially since it doesn’t include a mic. You can only wear them over the ear. No recessed plug for 1st generation iPhone owners.
Overall: The Endorphin Rush is a great set of earphones for the active enthusiast. They even offer a guarantee against sweat damage. The sound quality was awesome with nice deep bass and adequate highs and lows; perfect for listening to upbeat music while you work out. I really like the “hockey puck” sized hard pouch that is included as well. I know $99 might seem like a lot of money for earphones, but considering the quality of the product it self and the sound quality, I’d recommend them. In fact I’m going to award them our Editors’ Choice award.

You can purchase the Endorphin Rush at JayBird’s website for $99.

Video Review: JayBird Tiger Eyes

Posted in Earphones, Editors' Choice, Reviews, Video by Tom Moccia. Published July 21st, 2009

Rating: 9 of 10
Pros: iPhone compatible, integrated volume control, extremely comfortable, titanium plated drivers, true sound, 60 days to try them out, 1 year warranty, LifetimeWarranty against sweat, comes with 6 sets of ear tips, cord management and hard carrying case.
Cons:
Bass not as strong as the Jaybird Endorphins, on the higher end price wise.
Overall: Jaybird specializes in earphones for the athlete but these will satisfy a wide range of listeners.  There is no skimping on the extras here: 6 sets of eartips, cord management, and a hardshell case.  I can’t imagine what else you could possibly want included.  All that along with great true sound and decent bass makes this a quality pair of earphones. With a price tag of $89 it may seem a bit expensive but considering the warranty, extras included and iPhone compatibility, it definitely compares with lower priced earphones that do not offer these features.  The Jaybird Tiger Eyes take home my Editor’s Choice Award.
