App Review: Zombie Booth

Posted in Apps, Apps, Reviews, Video, humor by Doug Drummond. Published April 26th, 2010

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Revolutionary app to animate still pictures and make them into a ZOMBIE!!!!
Cons: Cannot save the animation, just the still pic, must have service or wifi to zombify.
Overall: Looking for fun at a party, great for Halloween, take any front facing picture and turn it into a zombie pic.

The Zombie Booth App can be bought directly from iTunes HERE for the price of $.99

iMaxi iPad Case

Posted in Cases, News, humor by Ryan W.. Published March 3rd, 2010

There are so many weird iPhone and iPod accessories it’s hard to keep count. And of course with the launch of the iPad, it could be no different. The folks over at Hip Handmaids have thrown together, and when I say thrown together I mean hand sown, a special iPad case. The iMaxi takes the iPad name and rolls with what we are were thinking when we heard the name. Here’s the description straight from the site:

With its durable vinyl outer layer and plush, quilted-cotton sleeve, the iMaxi helps keep your iPad clean and dry. Plus, the iMaxi’s Velcro-latched, advanced wing design wraps snugly around your device, so your iPad always stays where it should. Best of all, it shields it from all those unsightly and embarrassing data leaks that would make any motherboard worry!

For $30 the iMaxi is priced around similar iPad cases that will hit the market shortly. Is this a case you’d buy for your iPad? Hit the break for a few more pictures.

iCar Coming Soon?

Posted in News, Rumor, humor by Pashyn. Published July 21st, 2009

Coming this fall, Apple releases the iCar! Apple did a good job keeping it totally under wraps! It comes with a 10” built-in touch screen located on the dash for easy access to all your favorite apps. Radio transmitters are finally a thing of the past as the iCar has a built in iPhone ready to be synced with your iTunes library and making hands-free phone calls! There’ll be a docking station on the front seat passenger side for easy access to your Macbook on the go! There are 6 different ports found in the car itself for easy access to every portable electronic device known to man, sorry not pc compatible! These are just to name a few.

Alright…. so the iCar is not really launching this fall. However isn’t it possible that Apple could be considering it, or at least discussing it? I know I’m not the only one who secretly dreams of such things. Of course the question then is, is there a market for this sort of geek heaven vehicle to roam our highways? Is it more plausible to consider a team up between Nissan, Toyota, or Volkswagen and Apple, as they did with AT&T?

All speculation set aside I speak for myself and a few other obsessed Apple fans when I say “Dear Mr. Jobs, we love what you do, and yes we want more! Dazzle us, surprise us and please let us drive a vehicle with Apple technology built in just as we’ve always dreamed… ”
