If you saw my review of the Zagg Z.Buds, then you noticed that there were a few things that Zagg needed to improve on to make these earphones a competitor in the audio market. Well today Zagg announced a new version of the Z.Buds with new features and the addition of two new colors. They’re now available in yellow & pink nylon tangle-free cords, along with the original black and red versions. They have also done away with the chrome accents and gone to solid black. Some of the other new features include:
• Enhanced earbud design
• Improved fit for triple-tree earpiece tips
• Lifetime trade-in guarantee
I think the best feature added was the trade-in guarantee, now you don’t have to worry about getting a defective set that don’t work or with tips that don’t fit, you can just exchange them now. Not a bad deal. they also offer a 45-day money back guarantee, just in case you change your mind after testing them out. But the best deal of all is that they are currently having a Limited Time promotion for Buy One, Get One Half Off, (I think they call that the BOGO sale). So take advantage of that sale if you’re interested in checking them out. We’ll see if we can get our hands on a new pair and do another review of the Zagg Z.Buds for you soon.
Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros: Integrates case and Holster, attention to detail on both, clip on holster very innovative, good shock protection, showcases the Apple logo.
Cons: No protection for the Apple logo included, a little tough to get the bottom off.
Verdict: Very nice combo with case and holster, attention to detail especially the clip on the holster. All in all a solid purchase whether you purchase the case by itself or as a set you will be satisfied with this purchase from a somewhat unknown company. Seidio makes quality products at reasonable prices.
This item can be purchased from Seidio for $49.95 (includes both case and holster)
Hey loyal readers I wanted to pass along a great deal I found at Macworld this week. ifrogz.com is currently offering 20% off all items on their site. But that’s not all they are currently also running a coupon code for an additional 25% off, and yes I confirmed these discounts do “stack”. In other words you get both the 20% off then an additional 25% off making for some great deals. The code is valid through February 1st, 2009 but I am not sure how long the site wide 20% off will last so if you want to take advantage don’t hesitate. The code to use to get your additional 25% is: ifrogz9386. Hope you find some good deals!!!!
