Samsung Galaxy Tab Trailer

Posted in Preview, Rumor, Video by Ryan W.. Published August 24th, 2010

Samsung has a new tablet device coming to us this Fall, and here is the teaser trailer to show you. Nothing has been comfirmed but its speculated to have a 1024 x 600 AMOLED screen; Android 2.2; 3.2MP back-facing camera, and VGA front-facing camera. Not to shabby. What do you think? A possible worthy competitor to the Apple iPad? The iPhone has always had ‘supposed’ killer competition. However it just never paned out.

Otterbox Announces iPhone 4 cases

Posted in Cases, News, Preview by Omar C. Published July 21st, 2010

The Otterbox Defender Series case is now available for the iPhone 4. The original multi-layer case provides the most rugged protection available for the iPhone 4. First, a polycarbonate shell made of hi-impact, shatter-resistant material is installed. Built into the shell is a clear Multi-Touch display screen cover as well as a clear cover for the Apple logo cutout on the backside. Finally, a silicone skin wraps around and locks into the shell resulting in a unified, nearly indestructible solution. Also included is a holster-style swivel belt clip.

The black OtterBox Defender Series case for the Apple iPhone 4 has been officially NAC tested to address the loss in signal strength. Test results indicate this case solves the antenna issue by acting as a dielectric between the two antennas of the device. No loss of signal strength occurs when using the iPhone 4 in a Defender Series case.

Coming soon, the OtterBox Commuter Series case features two layers of device security for a completely new level of innovation. A silicone mid-layer and a polycarbonate shell combine to provide protection from bump and shock, while the self-adhering screen protector defends from scratching. Similar to the Impact Series, the Commuter Series will offer coverage for the iPhone 4 power button, volume rocker and home button. Additionally, this line provides silicone plugs for the charging port and headphone jack that flip open for access. Customers can sign up online to receive notification about case availability.

Kenwood Releases 2 New In-Dash Receivers

Posted in Preview by Omar C. Published June 22nd, 2010

Picture 2

Kenwood USA Corporation announced the delivery of the company’s first in-dash iPod controller receivers designed specifically for users of the Apple iPod, iPod Video, iTouch, iPhone and Microsoft’s Zune.

Because of the unique and specialized application of these receivers, the CD transport has been eliminated. The intended user is a dedicated portable-media enthusiast and travels exclusively with digital music and video files instead of conventional CDs and DVDs.

The top model is the KIV-BT900 and takes this unique product concept to new heights. Beginning with a 3” full-color, multi-lingual TFT display, the KIV-BT900 shows full song, artist and album text plus large-format, full-color album art. iPod video files not only appear on the display, but an A/V output allows the content to appear on external rear-seat monitors. The KIV-BT900 also features a new, built-in Bluetooth circuit by industry-leader Parrott that provides the latest in hands-free performance and smartphone compatibility.

Three 4.0 volt preamp outputs with built-in digital sound processing make the KIV-BT900 a true audio performer. An on-board 512MB flash memory module will rip external content through the USB input, supporting a wide range of audio (MP3, WMA, AAC, WAV), video (MPEG4, WMV and H.264) and picture (JPEG and BMP) files.

The variable key illumination feature gives the KIV-BT900 the ability to match the interior lighting of almost any automobile. A remote control is provided at no additional charge.

The KIV-700 has all of the performance and functionality as the KIV-BT900 with the exception of built-in Bluetooth connectivity. The KCA-BT300 hideaway Bluetooth module ($180.00 suggested retail price) can be added at a later time.

The KIV-BT900 and KIV-700 come with a one- year warranty and are available only through authorized Kenwood retailers.

We’ll have a full review of the KIV-700 very shortly here on BuyMeAniPhone.com
