SGP Linear EX Meteor iPhone 4S Review

Posted in Cases, Review Preview, Reviews by Doug Drummond. Published January 5th, 2012

Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros:
Great colors, will work with all the linear EX cases for mix and match styling.  Comes with Steinheil front and back protection.
Cons:
Just a bumper style, no real impact resistance for the back
Overall:
Sick of the same old bumper case?  Looking for something more with lots of color customization?  Then this is the case for you.  The SGP Linear EX Meteor has  Asymmetrical upper and lower frames that snap together and protect the bumper of the phone.  Steinheil front and rear protectors are also included for just $31.99 by clicking here.

Surc TV Remote Case for iPhone 4/4S

Posted in Cases, Misc, Video, iPhone 4 by Joon Lee. Published January 4th, 2012

Rating: 7 out of 10
Pros:
Does what it is advertised to do. Does not add a lot of bulk to the phone. App is quick, snappy and responsive when trying to control your TV. You can add multiple room remotes and customize what buttons you have.
Cons:
Not the most practical way to control your TV and is a little pricey at $90. A little difficult to take in and out of case.
Overall:
If you are one who is really committed to using your iPhone as your do it all device, then this is the case for you. The case allows the awesome functionality to control your TV with your iPhone using the easy to use and set up Surc app. Where this case misses is that this is definitely not the practical way to control your TV when you can just pick up a remote instead of pickin up your phone, unlocking, opening and waiting for app to load then choose remote and then control. Especially with a 90 dollar price tag, unless your committed to using your phone as a remote, it’s not going to be worth it. You can pick up this case at Surc’s website.

Inature Winter Collection Backup Battery Case

Posted in Cases, External Battery, Reviews, Video by Fabian. Published January 2nd, 2012

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros:
Offers the option to have case protection with the addition of an external battery as needed.  Also comes in different size capacities.
Cons: Wish the battery stayed on the case a little tighter and change the cutout in the case for the battery to a different spot as it is in an awkward place
Overall: Inature has recently blown us away with their Kiano Bluetooth keyboard case and has now come out with another amazing product called the Refill + case in a hot new winter collection that offers different flavors and extended battery capacities.  Their attention to detail in packaging their product has also impressed me.  Inature has combined a case with the option to use and extended battery that attaches to it as needed.  Choose the battery capacity thats right for you as they offer different sizes along with the perfect case color combination.  Truly this is an amazing idea and worth your attention and money.  Head over to Inature today to pick yours up, and let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Bricson Color Shield for iPhone 4/4S

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Video, iPhone 4 by Fabian. Published January 2nd, 2012

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros:
Offers full front and back protection and looks great on the device.
Cons: Wish they offered protection for the stainless steel band
Overall: The Color Shields from Bricson is a newer unique product within the smartphone skin industry in which it takes the skin and screen protector and combines it into one.  By doing this it offers full front protection.  For only $19.99 its a great buy as it will protect the front and the rear with a nice view window of your apple logo and proper cut outs for your camera and flash.  One downfall however is that with time and constant use the skin will show some scratches.  Regardless this is still an amazing buy and well worth your time and money.  Head over to the Bricson website and pick your up today.

Pros:
Really awesome unique look. Provides great grip and protection. Comes with all the awesome Switcheasy goodies.

The case, with its unique design, provides excellent protection, “levitating” the phone in the case due to its unique design. Twelve South BookBook iPhone 4/4S Case

Posted in Cases, Reviews by Doug Drummond. Published December 21st, 2011

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros
:
Real leather.  Phone case and wallet in one.  Disguises your iPhone inside a tiny book.
Cons:
Higher priced, no camera cut out, lose your phone and you lose your wallet.
Overall:
This is one of my favorite cases.  I love the look, feel and function of having my phone and wallet together.  The book book is a huge attention getter.  I’d like to see some sort of camera access for this case.  The price is in the higher range, but I think you will be pretty happy with the convenience of having a case/wallet.  Pick up this case directly from 12 South website for $59.99.

12 South Book Book iPhone 4/4S case

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Video, iPhone 4 by Fabian. Published December 13th, 2011

Rating: 9 out of 10

Pros: Looks and feels great.  Allows you to have your iPhone and wallet all in one with you at all times.  Great build quality that will hold up well over long periods of time.

Cons: Seems a bit bulky and will take some getting used to on the size over time.  Additionally the phone must be removed from the case every time for taking pictures or shooting video.

Overall: The Book Book from 12 South is truly a incredible creation.  It was manufactured for those that can’t live without their iPhone or wallet where ever they go.  The case is made out of genuine leather and gives the illusion on the outside to that of a 12th century book.  Once opened you reveal a case that perfectly fits your iPhone to the right and your wallet credentials to the left.  The case offers full access to all buttons and speakers.  One downfall however is the fact that the iPhone needs to be removed from the case to take pictures or video with its rear facing camera.  Additionally the bulkiness of the case takes some getting used to.  Overall however getting a wallet and full protection for your iPhone all into one case is awesome.  This case is available for purchase from the 12 South website and retails for only $59.99.  A great value for a hand made leather case that is a case and a wallet.  Head over to their site and pick yours up today.

Apple Bumper Case

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Unboxing, iPhone 4 by Ashley3G. Published December 6th, 2011

Rating: 9/10
Pros: Sleek, simple design that complements the iPhone 4S very well.  The button covers match the bezel of the phone, and the case fits the phone like a glove (no sagging).
Cons:
Cutouts for the speaker, microphone, docking port and headphone jack are dead on, but offer no extra space around them for things like various 3rd party auxiliary cables, headphones and docks.  The Apple headphones (as well as other headphones will small jacks) work well with the case, but any thick cables probably will not.  There is also no protection for the back of your phone, as this case simply covers the bezel of the phone and offers a slight lip or buffer for the front and back.
Overall:The simple design of the case really works well with the sleekness and simplicity of the iPhone 4S.  While it doesn’t offer the ultimate protection, it looks good on the phone and protects it well enough.  The case retails for $29 and can be purchased in various colors at Apple’s online store.

Atomic Hybrid C case for iPhone 4/4S

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Video, iPhone 4 by Joon Lee. Published December 2nd, 2011

Rating: 7/10
Pros:
Awesome looking case. Provides phone with a unique look. Awesome variety of colors. Really makes your iPhone stand out with the aluminum bumper design.
Cons:
Questionable amount of protection for an $80 dollar case. Case is really expensive. Additional caps are $25 dollars, making it $65 dollars for the composite plastic piece, which is very overpriced. Screw process is tedious to install and uninstall. Cannot dock the phone with case on. Headphone jack is unbelievably recessed.
Overall:
When I used this case, I definitely received a lot of attention about how it looked awesome. While the case is a very sharp and awesome looking case, I think the price isn’t quite justifiable for a case that is only 25% aluminum. If you can swallow the hefty price and think the case looks cool, then check it on Atomic’s website.
