Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Anti scratch matte finish, includes screen protector.
Cons: Only available in Black, White and Purple
Overall: The Apollo is the perfect case for those looking for a nice quality and affordable case. For $30 you can’t go wrong. I like the matte finish and the silicon back side tab that makes it easier to remove the iPhone from the case. Hopefully they’ll add more colors to the line-up for currently there’s only 3 colors to pick from.

You can purchase this product from Cygnett.com for $30

Rating: 10 out of 10
Pros: Cool colors, affordable compared to other shell cases, matte finish that resists most fingerprints, stabilization feet.
Cons: Impossible to find in retail, mo “clear” option.
Overall: When you compare the Speck SeeThru Satin and the Incipio Feather you will quickly understand when Speck is the leader in the market.  With a solid fit and finish and little if any added bulk the Speck SeeThru Sating blows the rest of the cases in this category away.  With the continued quality from Speck the See Thru Satin for the Macbook Air receives my Editor’s Choice Award.

Everyone wants an aluminum case but hate the signal loss, and now they have a useable case that gives good protection and no signal issues. Uniq “The Tux” for Macbook Air

Posted in Cases, Mac Monday, Reviews, Video by Tom Moccia. Published March 26th, 2012

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Classy protection and presentation for the Macbook Air, comes in some cool colors, very soft interior, easy on/easy off, customizable saying on the interior, becomes very form fitting with breaking and wear..
Cons: A little pricey at $79 for the 13″, adds some bulk to the sides as the case is not flush to the Macbook Air.
Overall: The Tux from Uniq X Cases for the Macbook Air drapes your Air in class and bump and scratch protection.  With a  nice solid fit that conforms to your Air with use it becomes very personal very quickly.  Although it adds a little bulk to the sides do to some material hangover this is one of the better cases on the limited Macbook Air case market.

The Tux for the Macbook Air is available in nude, ebony, scarlet and chocolate for both the 11″ and 13″ Macbook Air at $69 and $79 respectively.  Go check them out at UniqCases.com

Pros: Cool artwork, soft matte finish all the way around, from a respected company.
Cons: Just your basic snap back case with cool design, expensive.
Overall: The design on the Icon Art series are cool but the rest of the case didn’t blow me away.  What we have here is a basic snap back case with a nice matte finish and a cool design.  that being said you can feel the quality and if you like unique snap backs this may be the case for you.

Pure-Gear PX360 rugged iPhone 4/4S case

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Video by Omar C. Published March 23rd, 2012

Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros: Hardcore protection, includes carabiner clip, reusable waterproof packaging, utility tool
Cons: The bottom connector plug cover broke off after extended use.
Overall: This is a really nice rugged style case from Pure-Gear. I wish they also had a version that didn’t have the loop for the carabiner cause I never used that with the case and it adds quite a bit of bulk to the case. I like how the case is held together by screws so you know it won’t bust apart if you were to drop your phone. Besides the fact that the bottom port cover broke off after extensive use, this has been a really nice case. And actually, it still functions fine even without the cover on the bottom.

You can check out this case at Pure-Gear.com, it retails for $49.99

Waterfield iPhone 4/4S Smart Case

Posted in Cases, Reviews by Matt Sholly. Published March 22nd, 2012

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Great Protection, Great Style
Cons: The top is a little too open.
Overall: When I initially saw this case I was not really impressed and figured the case was not worth the money. However after using it for the last 3 days I comfortably can say the case is worth every penny. I enjoyed the style and the professional look it carries. The case itself offers great drop protection. Now an obvious downer about this case is you can’t use the case and the phone at the same time. However the case does a great job of protecting your device while it’s in it. My favorite feature of the case was the elastic pouch in the back as it was perfect to slip my credit cards, license, or my room key into it making it easier to leave my wallet behind. Another great thing about this case is that every time you remove the phone the interior of the case actually cleans off your screen. I also did not notice any build up of junk on the inside of the case from it wiping off my screen. I recommend this case to anyone who wants to enjoy the iPhone slim build but not worry about it when they carry it around.

Case Cost: $39-45

Cygnett Metalicus Aluminum iPhone 4/4S Case

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Video by Omar C. Published March 22nd, 2012

Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros: Great looking design, doesn’t show scratches or wear, includes screen protector
Cons: Causes signal loss in some instances
Overall: When I saw this case at Cygnetts booth at CES, I had to have it. It’s a really sharp looking case that does a great job of protecting your iPhone 4/4S. My one complaint is the loss in reception because of the aluminum. Depending on your area and your carrier, it may be a none issue for you, but I know in some places that you’ll have a difficult time using your phone with this case on it.

You can purchase this case from Cygnett.com for $39.99
