Video Review: V-Moda CrossFade LP headphones

Posted in Earphones, Reviews, Video by Omar C. Published August 9th, 2010

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Comes with a few extras and a really nice carrying case. Removable wire.
Cons: High price tag
Overall: I loved testing the CrossFades from V-Moda, they are the perfect blend of style and sound. There are very few headphones on the market that look and sound as good as these. It comes with some nice extras including the hard case and two sets of wires which can be removed when storing the headphones away. I think the only that might scare some people away with be the price tag. The average person is probably not going to spend over $200 for headphones, but if you have the money I’d recommend them.

You can purchase the CrossFade headphones from V-Moda for $249.99.

Video Review: Wicked Audio Little Buds

Posted in Earphones, Reviews, Video by Tom Moccia. Published July 12th, 2010

Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros: Very solid audio, braided 1.2 meter cord, priced right, very comfortable, small
Cons: Hard to find in retail.
Overall: The Wicked little buds sport 5.8 mm drivers that produce solid audio.  With the 1.2 meter braided cord you won’t have to worry about it not reaching into your pocket.  Best place to find them is on Amazon and at the time of this writing were $18.65.  Click here to be brought to the Wicked Audio website and click here to be brought to the Amazon purchase page.

Overall: These covers are a great buy not only for its brilliant and stylish looks but also because it provides some protection to your earphones.

Video Review: Sennheiser/Adidas PMX680

Posted in CES 2010, Earphones, Reviews, Video by Tom Moccia. Published May 5th, 2010

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Sweat-proof, Teflon in the cord for durability, comfortable fit while exercising, cord only comes down from one side, inline volume control.
Cons: The volume control is poorly placed where it is not long enough to clip on your pocket nor on you shirt collar.
Overall: The Sennheiser/Adidas PMX680 are a superior headphone especially for the athlete.  They are awesomely comfortable and stay put while you are running.  With true highs and low lows the sound quality is above par for a exercise headphone although most just want decent sound and comfort while seating.  The PNX680 can be purchased from a plethora of retailers but I found the best deal for $49 from Amazon.  You can learn more about these and all the offerings from Sennheiser by visiting their website.

Video Review: Skull Candy Hesh Headphones

Posted in Earphones, Preview, Review Preview, Reviews, Video by Doug Drummond. Published April 29th, 2010

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Great style, control line talk, several other options, great sound with deep bass, crisp mids and clear treble
Cons: The plastic feels a little weak
Overall: For the price, these can’t be beat.  Inline mic for taking calls is great. Skull Candy hit the mark with great sound and styling.  They do have some bleed through with sound but overall a great DJ style headphone.

You can purchase the Hesh from SkullCandy for $49.95 by clicking here to be directed to the website.

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Comes with a few nice extras and tons of spare ear tips.
Cons: No more nice braided cord that I’ve come to expect from V-Moda.
Overall: This is a great set of earphones with built-in mic for the iPhone. The sound quality is great and well-rounded for all types of music. Like all of V-Moda’s products, they not only sound good, but they look great.
