Pros: Incredibly affordable. Amazing sound for 20 dollars Incredibly well built and looks really sleek.
Cons: None
Overall: This is, by far, the best value headphone at 20 dollars. You get fantastic build quality and sound that is heard at some headphones around 100 dollars. The sound for the price is absolutely phenomenal and as a result, merits the Editor’s Choice Award.

Pros: Completely customizable low priced earphones
Cons: None
Overall: CustomBuds have really stepped up their game in improving their original earphones. I have to say that the first version of these earphones were torture to test out because the audio was so muffled and bad, but CustomBuds didn’t just sit on their laurels. They updated the drivers in the earphones and now they sound great. I think for the price that they are a great buy, especially when you’re able to pick out the colors of every part of the earphones.
If you’re interested in purchasing the CustomBuds for $30, you can do so on their website.

Audiofly’s goal is to be a sound innovator, evolving current technologies into new, improved, hybrid in-ear designs. A focus on precision engineering, elegant design, user comfort and detailed clear sound define Audiofly products. Audiofly is headed by musicians and audio designers, creating quality in- ear headphones for music lovers.
Audiofly designs, manufactures, and markets premium in-ear headphones for musicians and consumers. The company is revealing its high quality, in-ear headphone product line-up at CES 2012.
Sales of Audiofly’s in-ear headphone products are scheduled to begin in March 2012. There are four initial Audiofly in-ear headphone products:
AF78 Series
Audiofly’s premium hybrid in-ear headphone features a balanced armature device, usually found in professional earpieces, and a 9mm custom dynamic driver. The combination draws on the strengths of both driver types to produce amazing separation across the dynamic range and delivering beautiful high end detail and well-defined response in the lower and mid frequencies. Listeners can experience music and comfort via the five sets of included silicon ear tips.
AF56 Series
This fully–featured set of in-ear headphones offers a 13mm dynamic driver voiced for a solid bass response that doesn’t overpower the subtle detail of the midtones or the smooth chimey highs. To prevent surrounding sounds interfering with the music, it includes a noise isolating in-ear design for up to 23db noise attenuation. This series offers an AudioFlexTM tangle free, round cable for superior strength and abrasion resistance.
AF33 and AF45 Series
Delivering superb sound at an affordable price, each model features expertly tuned dynamic drivers in highly designed in-ear headphones, in a wide selection of sophisticated colors. All Audiofly in-ear headphones are available in styles with or without a microphone and feature a gold plated connection.
We are very excited about hopefully getting a chance to work together with AudioFLy in 2012. Stayed tuned for more information.

Pros: Great build and sound quality.
Cons: Not the easiest to travel with.
Rating: It’s very rare when I feel that a pair of $99 headphones are worth every penny, but that’s the case with the Tracks from SOL Republic. Not only have they come up with a great sounding pair of headphones, but they’ve also made sure that the materials and quality of the overall product are high. I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for an on-ear solution instead of ear buds or over-ear can headphones. I enjoyed them so much that I’ve awarded them our Editors’ Choice Award.
You can purchase them for $99 from retailers like Best Buy or from SOLRepublic.com.
Overall: 5/10
Pros: Really awesome idea. Waterproof in-ear headphones plus MP3 player for under 100 dollars.
Cons: Feels awkward to wear. Uncomfortable. Sound is subpar. Bad highs and mids and bass is slow and laggish.
Rating: In theory, this could be an awesome product. While the idea of a built in MP3 player to your headphones is great, the sound is really sub par and the headphones are really awkward and feel uncomfortable to wear. While the idea is amazing, JLab needs to go back to the drawing board and think about comfort and getting better quality drivers. You can check them out on JLab’s website.

Pros: Low price tag, includes soft pouch
Cons: The cord feels similar to a rubber band
Overall: This is a great alternative to the Apple earphones that are included with your iDevice. For only $17, you get a pair of solid earphones with descent sound quality made from solid materials.
You can purchase this product from WirelessGround.com for $16.95.

Pros: Excellent sound quality, includes many extras
Cons: High price tag
Overall: This set of In Ear Monitors from Scosche definitely surprised me when it came to sound quality, they had thumping bass, solid mids and precise highs – perfect for all genres of music. But from their actual construction, they didn’t seem like $250 earphones. I’ve reviewed earphones ranging from $200 all the way up to $400, so I have an idea of what expensive earphones should feel like and the materials that they use. Even though these earphones were very solid and not cheap feeling, I just thought Scosche could have upgraded the materials used to make them. They basically feel like most of their other consumer earphones except with awesome sound quality.
You can purchase this product from Scosche for $249.99.

Pros: Extremely lightweight and compact and the sound it puts out is incredible. Also one of the most comfortable headsets I have ever tried.
Cons: None
Overall: SteelSeries is known for their excellent quality gaming products. Today I reviewed the SteelSeries 7H over ear gaming headphones for the iPhone/iPod/iPad. It is truly an amazing product offering you extreme comfort since it is lightweight and padded just right. Aside from being comfortable the sound quality from the unit is incredible with its 50 MM drivers allowing you to engulf yourself in the game. They are also portable and break down for easy storage. Aside from using them for a better and up close gaming session they also work to answer phone calls as well as enjoying your favorite music. The SteelSeries 7H headphones are available for purchase on their website for only $129.99. Drop us a comment with your thoughts and if you own a set what do you think of them?
Rating: 8.5/10
Pros: Interchangeable drivers for headphones. Nearly indestructible. Really unique, eye catching look. Really versatile sound. Solid bass, mids and highs. As good, if not better than Beats by Dre Solos and Solo HD’s for much cheaper.
Cons: Sound could be more distinct. Music mushes together a bit.
Overall: SOL Republic is the new player in the headphone game and their first on-ear models is a great entry into the competition. The headphones provide very solid sound for only 100 dollars. The headphones have a unique, distinctive look and are eye catching. The sound is really quite solid for the “fashion headphone” genre and for being only 100 dollars. You can check them out at their website.
