Pros: Extremely lightweight and compact and the sound it puts out is incredible. Also one of the most comfortable headsets I have ever tried.
Cons: None
Overall: SteelSeries is known for their excellent quality gaming products. Today I reviewed the SteelSeries 7H over ear gaming headphones for the iPhone/iPod/iPad. It is truly an amazing product offering you extreme comfort since it is lightweight and padded just right. Aside from being comfortable the sound quality from the unit is incredible with its 50 MM drivers allowing you to engulf yourself in the game. They are also portable and break down for easy storage. Aside from using them for a better and up close gaming session they also work to answer phone calls as well as enjoying your favorite music. The SteelSeries 7H headphones are available for purchase on their website for only $129.99. Drop us a comment with your thoughts and if you own a set what do you think of them?

Pros: Interchangeable drivers for headphones. Nearly indestructible. Really unique, eye catching look. Really versatile sound. Solid bass, mids and highs. As good, if not better than Beats by Dre Solos and Solo HD’s for much cheaper.
Cons: Sound could be more distinct. Music mushes together a bit.
Overall: SOL Republic is the new player in the headphone game and their first on-ear models is a great entry into the competition. The headphones provide very solid sound for only 100 dollars. The headphones have a unique, distinctive look and are eye catching. The sound is really quite solid for the “fashion headphone” genre and for being only 100 dollars. You can check them out at their website.

Pros: Really solid sound from the 50 dollar category. Really good build quality. Comes with a variety of tips and a carrying pouch. Very comfortable to wear and isolates so outside noise is not heard well.
Cons: The cable is really easily tangled.
Overall: If you looked at the iP595 and thought the 80 dollar price was a little too much for you and you are looking at more of the 50 dollar price range, take a look at these. They provide great build quality, sound and look as well as being at the reasonable 50 dollar price range. You can check out this product at Maximo’s website.

Pros: Very good build quality. Sound is really superb for the price. Isolates sound well with the large variety of ear tips that come with it. A lot of accessories that come with the earphones.
Cons: Bass heavy sound may not be for everyone.
Overall: These earphones are the best that I have tried out in the sub-100 dollar price range. Sound and build quality are top notch and they are just overall just superb. I like them so much that I’m going to award them the Editors’ Choice Award.
You can purchase this product from Maximo for $79

Pros: Stylish, includes microphone for taking calls.
Cons: I wish the build quality was a little more solid for being priced at $50.
Overall: This is a good sounding pair of headphones. They have great bass and adequate Mids and Highs. The only area I think that could be improved is either in build quality of the headphones or maybe a lower price tag.
Overall: 9 out of 10
Pros: Adjustable head band, Rotating ear cups, Volume knob on ear cup.
Cons: Coiled cord, no inline mic
Overall: In the $50 price range these are superior in sound, comfort and style. The mids are crisp, highs clear and the bass thumps. I loved the adjustable volume knob on the ear cup. Even though I dislike the coiled cord, it is plenty long that it won’t tug on the headphones. Check out the SD63 by visiting iHomeAudio.com.
Overall: 8 out of 10
Pros: Among the most stylish headphones on the market. Very light and comfortable. Build quality is very good. Bass heavy and sound is pretty solid.
Cons: Sound can get a little muddy if turned up really loud. Headphones themselves are on the quieter side. Leak noise after iPod is turned up 65%. Quite Pricy.
Overall: If price isn’t an issue for you and hip hop and rap is what you listen to most, these will suit you fine. While these perform admirably in other genre’s, the distinction between each instrument isn’t as clear as you could get with other lower priced headphones. Despite this, they are very comfortable, have great build quality and look really awesome. If you are interested in picking up a pair, head over to evo and check out their selection. Retail: $229.95

Pros: Super clear and crips sound, comes with tons of ear tips, hard case & cable management included, super sexy aluminum finish, 30 day money back guarantee, lifetime warranty and best of all a portion of the proceeds benefit the Starkey Hearing Foundation providing hearing aids to those across the globe who can’t provide them for themselves.
Cons: I’m not sure if this is really a con but there are five different models ranging from $19.95 to $99.95 so to figure out the right model for you takes some due diligence.
Overall: The Moxy earjax Premium earbuds are a quality earbud that throws in a bunch of extras. I like the fact that it comes with a hard case and multiple tips. Crisp highs and thumping lows will cater to the audiophile in you. The fact that Bodyguardz donates a portion of the proceeds to the Starkey Hearing Foundation will no doubt make you feel good about your purchase.
The Moxy edition of the earwax will run you $64.95 but as mentioned before the models range from $19.95 to $99.95 so there is a model for every budget. Click here to learn more about the earwax on the BodyGuardz website.

Overall: Since these are going to be compared to the Beats by Dre Solo, I would highly recommend these over the Solos. These headphones can be used for casual listening at home, pick up and go or just about anything else. Response to equalizer is good so if you don’t want that thumping bass, you can have a flat listening experience with them. Funny name aside, these headphones are among the most versatile headphones out there and look stunning. For this, I give the Fanny Wang On-Ear Wangs the BuyMeAniPhone Editors’ Choice Award. You are currently browsing the archives for the Earphones category.
