PureGear PureTek Roll-On Screen Shield Kit

Posted in Editors' Choice, Reviews, Screen Protector by Joon Lee. Published January 27th, 2012

Rating: 9.5/10

Pros: One of the best polyurethane screenshields on the market. By far the easiest screenshield install I’ve ever done. Screen clarity is awesome and you don’t loose that glass feel.

Cons: A little pricey. Misaligned the home button ever so slightly. One time use.

Overall: This is a brilliant product from PureGear and I loved installing a screen shield with this product. Quick, easy and no hassles at all, which is unusual for a polyurethane screen shield. This is an absolutely fantastic product and for it’s revolutionary design, it warrants the Editor’s Choice award. Check it out on PureGear’s website.

SGP Valencia Case for iPhone 4/4S

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Screen Protector, Unboxing, iPhone 4 by Ashley3G. Published October 21st, 2011

Rating: 9/10
Pros: Sleek design that complements the iPhone 4/4S well.  The quality of the materials used to make this case are top-notch!  The exterior is made of beautiful genuine leather (in your choice of black, white or pink) with a Swarovski crystal placed on the front.  The interior is lined with a microfiber material that is embossed with writing and logos and serves to keep your phone protected and clean. Extremely reasonable price.
Cons: No major cons.  The front flap sometimes looks a little odd if you let it hang down when talking on the phone.  You can easily take care of that by bending it back while using the phone.
Overall: SGP has never let me down in terms of customer care or quality of products offered.  At around $40, this really is a great case for the money!

Otterbox Defender case for iPhone 4

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Screen Protector, Unboxing, Video, iPhone 4 by Ashley3G. Published August 8th, 2011

Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Pros:
Excellent drop protection (the phone flew out of my hands into a soaking wet parking lot and both the phone and case were left unscathed!), easy to put on and take off, nice grip, button covers are responsive, extremely durable.
Cons:
The built-in screen protector tends to get smudged and nicked easily.
Overall
: One of the most durable and dependable cases you’ll find on the market.  Much easier to install and take off than the 3G/3GS version.  The case does add noticeable bulk to the iPhone, but does not take away from usability.

Visit Otterbox for more details.

SmartCap & iShield Bundle from the HiShop

Posted in Cases, News, Screen Protector, iPad by Joon Lee. Published August 6th, 2011

Rating: 8.5 out of 10
Pros:
Great TPU case that allows your iPad 2 to have back protection while using your Smart Cover. The iShield is very easy to apply and does not distort the clarity of the screen.
Cons:
Small things on the Smart Cap are a loose bar of TPU between the dock connector and the home button. These shouldn’t be a hinderance to the usage of the case.
Overall:
This is a great value bundle considering it comes with a great case and a screen shield.

Wrapsol Ultra EXTREME test and review for iPhone

Posted in Reviews, Screen Protector, Skins, iPad, iPhone 4 by Doug Drummond. Published July 19th, 2011

Rating: 10 out of 10
Pros:
Clear skin covers the device completely and offers drop protection.  Easy dry apply (no water)
Cons:
Cannot use with certain cases.
Overall: Great way to protect your devices while keeping it natural looking.  If you like the way your iPhone, iPad or MacBook looks without a case, but want to protect the finish?  Then the Wrapsol Ultra is the product for you.  Adds a bit of a shine, but otherwise looks natural.  Installation is simple and easy with no water mess to worry about.  Make sure your device is clean and no lint gets under the skin.  Very thick material that offer drop protection.  In extreme instances it will even protect your device being pulled behind a car at 30 mph.

ScreenGuardz HD for iPad 2

Posted in Reviews, Screen Protector, iPad by Giampy. Published July 4th, 2011

Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros:
Aids in glare reduction, very clear for the kind of screen shield it is, protects display
Cons: Smudges and fingerprints still appear unlike other AntiGlare/Fingerprint shields
Overall: The ScreenGuardz HD screen shield from BodyGuardz is in a category of its own with regards to screen shield types. Although it provides glare reduction without reducing clarity, it still shows smudges easily. It is easy to install but there is some minor bubbling.

You can check this product out on the BodyGuardz website.
