Video Review: Bodyguardz

Posted in Reviews, Screen Protector, Video by Omar C. Published September 2nd, 2009

Rating: 8 out of 10
Pros: Comes with two sets of front and back shields.
Cons: The back shield is very difficult to apply, at least for me.
Overall: I think that the Bodyguardz shield is a great product that every iPhone owner should utilize, even if it’s just the screen shield, but especially if you keep your iPhone naked. I didn’t have success applying the back shield so hopefully you’ll have better luck than me. But for $25 you can’t go wrong and at least they supply an extra back and front shield in case you mess it up the first time around.

This product can be purchase directly from Bodyguardz for $24.95

Video Review: Dome Skin

Posted in Reviews, Screen Protector, Video by Martin B. Published July 2nd, 2009

Rating: 9.5 out of 10
Pros: After installing it on your iPhone 3G/3GS it looks like hand painted design on the device itself. It gives you some shock protection on the back of the iPhone unlike any other skin and it is also a good way to keep scratches away from your device. This is first 3D sticker for your mobile device and it is designed to fit perfectly. Last but not least is installation – it only takes 1 minute to stick it on to your device and very important thing – it doesn’t leave any residue and it is designed for multiple use.
Cons: Corners and the sides are exposed. I didn’t like the front design – it could be a little simpler then it would be awesome, also I think that Dome Skin could try getting more unique designs to choose from and they could loose a logo on the bottom right corner of the sticker to make it more appealing. You cant fit any case due to 3D design and added bulkiness.
Overall: This is an awesome alternative to any other skin on the market. For just 15$ you can add unique style to your mobile device and in my eyes it’s definitely worth it.

Video Review: Wrapsol Screen Protector

Posted in Reviews, Screen Protector, Video by Martin B. Published June 16th, 2009

Rating: 10 out of 10

Pros: high quality protection foil, microfiber towel and a reusable rubber squeegee which can be used as eraser, furthermore all packaging is fully recyclable and when you purchase a Wrapsol you will save a rain forest.

Cons: I couldn’t find really anything wrong with it

Overall: Wrapsol protection foil is a great and high quality product for many devices. Tested in this review Wrapsol for iPhone 3G perfectly fitted the device, it feels much better then ZAGG Invisible Shield, it feels like you are touching a naked iPhone screen, however it might not be as durable and scratch resistant as ZAGG. In my opinion ease of installation plays a major role in that type of product, and the Wrapsol scores 10/10 for that. Overall for the same price as ZAGG’s Invisible Shield we get a little more because Wrapsol adds very high quality microfiber towel. Get your wrapsol today from www.wrapsol.com

Rating: 6 out of 10
Pros: cheap, possibly protects from water, mud, sweat and BLOOD :)
Cons: you can use it only once and it looks ugly
Overall: A product that does what it advertises however I personally wouldn’t use it on a daily basis :)

You can get yourself this Mobile Protector for only 0.75 EUR on their website.

Video Review: SGP Screen Shield

Posted in Reviews, Screen Protector, Tips, Video by Tom Moccia. Published May 6th, 2009

Rating: 10 out of 10
Pros: Cut a bit smaller than the iPhone screen itself which eliminates any “pull up” or “watermarks”. Anti-fingerprint is unbelievably clear, affordable.
Cons: Wish they were available locally instead of internet only but that’s the way of the retail world now.
Overall: The best screen shield I have ever used so much so I am awarding this screen shield the Editors’ Choice Award..  Cut to perfection and a bit smaller than the screen itself to eliminate “water marks”.  Extremely easy installation (static cling style), super clear anti-fingerprint. Comes in crystal clear also.  At a price tag of $1.99 for two shields it is very affordable.  Available for many phones not just the iPhone.

These screen shields can be purchased from the SGP website for $11.99.

Posted in Cases, Reviews, Screen Protector, Video by Omar C. Published February 12th, 2009

Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros:
Hundreds of awesome graphics to find just the right design. Reusable
Cons:
Might take a few trys to line it up on your phone
Verdict: This is the perfect solution for those of you that don’t like using cases but still want to protect the back of the phone from becoming scratched. The variety and selection of artwork is beautiful and numerous and you’ll probably never meet another person with the same skin.

The Gelaskins can be purchased for $15.95.
The GelaScreens come with 2 screen protectors and a Cleaning cloth for $12.95

Rating: 7 out of 10
Pros: Protects the screen from scratches
Cons: Smudges with finger prints easily
Verdict: This screen protector makes your iPhone look really cool and does a good job of protecting the screen, but I think the build up of finger prints might get annoying for some. What do you expect, it’s practically a mirror!

You can purchase this product directly from Ivyskin for $14.95
